For Katie’s first weekend in Europe, we decided to take a quick road trip. This time, we headed north to Amsterdam. Amazingly, we went from Paris, through Belgium and into Holland on a single tank of gas! Now that’s what I like to call accessibility. We had a wonderful time in Amsterdam visiting with old friends and sharing some of our favorite spots.
Celebrating Switzerland!
The first weekend in August, our good friend Marc invited us to his family’s lake house on the beautiful Lake Bodensee in Switzerland. While it was a bit of a journey from Paris (six hours), it was more than worth every minute in the car. We spent our time celebrating an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, the green surroundings and fresh air, Swiss National Day and even the birthday of Marc’s mother.
A special thank you to Marc for inviting us on this wonderful trip and for sharing some of the great photos you see within this post!

Euro Road Trip
After leaving Thailand, we headed back to Europe. On landing in Madrid, we officially lapped the globe – a pretty awesome feeling. Over the next 18 days we explored Northern Spain and Eastern/Central France. We stopped at 30+ towns and explored a variety of regions, all completely new to us. What an amazing experience.

Water Fights & Island Hopping
We recently wrapped up our three month stay in Thailand. While we were there we did our best to enjoy as much Thai food as possible and spend as much time diving as we could. We did a pretty good job with both those things. We also got in a few other activities along the way – like water fights and island hopping, but we’re already missing the diving and the food.

March 20, 2010
In mid-March we headed to Sayulita, Mexico with some of our dearest friends and family. We spent a week enjoying amazing food, exploring beautiful beaches and creating wonderful memories. On Saturday, March 20, 2010, we celebrated our love and lives together with a walk down the aisle. It was perfectly amazing and more than we’d ever hoped for. Our incredible photographer Catherine Farquharson was able to capture it all.
Thank you to all who were there, both physically and in spirit, we love you!
If you find any photos you would like to have printed, you can do so easily through Catherine’s site.

First Weeks in Thailand
We realized we’ve skipped right over Mexico and our wedding, but don’t worry those pictures will be coming soon. Until then, we wanted to give you a taste of what we’ve been enjoying the past couple of weeks here in Thailand. We’re living on Phuket Island and trying to take in as much as possible. Enjoy the show!

Our time in Argentina was incredible. We saw and did and experienced so many amazing things. We wanted to share with you a sprinkling of photos taken over the course of our time there. Hopefully these will give you a peek at how this wonderful city captured our hearts.

Built to Last
Between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, we set out on an amazing adventure that turned out to be one of the most – if not the most – incredible experience either of us has ever had. We hiked the Inca Trail with a couple of our closest friends and a few strangers. Though, by the end we were all like family. Our reward after a four day hike was the spectacular Machu Picchu. And while these photos give you a window into our experience, we highly encourage everyone to do this themselves. You’ll be moved beyond words, as we were, at the beauty and impressiveness of the landscape, the culture (ancient and current) and the experience.

y ûasú (large water)
One of the stops we had planned before we even made it to Argentina was Las Cataratas del Iguazu – The water falls of Iguazu. Nestled at the intersection of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina in an amazing jungle/rain forest, these waterfalls are simply outstanding. So outstanding in fact that when Eleanor Roosevelt saw them on a helicopter tour, she exclaimed “Poor Niagara!” We had an amazing time, and hope you enjoy the photos!

Last Thanksgiving we spent in Morocco. This Thanksgiving we were a world away but it was absolutely amazing. We spent the week in Southern Argentina and Chile. Specifically El Calafate and Torres del Paine National Park. Unfortunately the photos here can’t nearly do justice to the amazing sites we saw, but they’ll at least give you a bit of an idea.
