This post is about eight months late, we went to Vienna in July of last year! However, we enjoyed every minute of our stay and are so glad we were able to fit it in after our lovely time in Budapest. So while the post is late, our memories are lovely and we look forward to when we can return and spend a bit more time. One week wasn’t enough!
The Other Side of The Iron Curtain
We had the great privilege of spending the month of July in the city of Budapest. While we’ve been to Prague, we’d never really felt like we’d been to Eastern Europe. Our time in Hungary was an eye-opening learning experience. We’re thankful for the chance to have seen it with our own eyes and experience the culture firsthand.

Bits of Barcelona
Barcelona is beyond incredible. Although we’ve only been away a few short months, we feel like we’ve both left pieces of our hearts behind. No matter how far we go or how long we stay away, somehow we know one day we’ll be back. Barcelona is most definitely a home away from home.
During our last few months, we had the joy of welcoming many wonderful visitors, passing beautiful sun soaked days in some of our favorite places and generally living life to the fullest.

Springtime in Sevilla
Since we’re currently living in Barcelona and this has been our first visit back to Spain since we left three years ago, we felt like it was perfect timing to return to Sevilla – our very first stop on this worldwide tour. To make the timing even more perfect, Ross’s parents were going to be in town during Sevilla’s Feria de Abril. So, we all booked tickets and headed south!
We want to send a great big thank you to our dear friends Rich and Karen who graciously opened their home to us and helped us have such a fantastic visit. We’re so glad to have been able to spend such a wonderful weekend with you!
We also want to thank Chuck and Marilyn for joining us as well as sharing some of their photos for this post!

Weekend Getaway to St Moritz
Our wonderful friends Marc and Lili invited us to visit them in St. Moritz, Switzerland – we were very happy to oblige. The scenery is incredible, and although we have many photos of it, they don’t even begin to do it justice. We had a fabulous time exploring the town, taking in the sites and spending time with our friends.
Please note, some of the pictures in this blog were taken by Marc. Thank you Marc for always sharing and for taking such great photos!

Beginning the Year in Barcelona
On New Year’s Eve, after a fantastic visit home, we boarded a flight back to Europe. After a couple of stop overs (to pick up Rocky) we were all together again – this time in Barcelona! Our first couple of months here have been really wonderful. We’re definitely looking forward to the rest of our time and lots more fun, friends and adventures!

Home for the Holidays
After almost a year and a half away from home, we were so ready to go back for a visit. We were able to see many of those who are most important to us and spend some great time simply enjoying each others’ company. We want to send a big thank you to all of those who made it such a fantastic trip – it was so good to see you all!

Back in Berlin
Of all the places we’ve visited, this is the first place we’ve returned. After a whirlwind summer we were ready to set our things down for a bit so we decided to head back to someplace more familiar – Berlin. Since we posted most of Berlin’s famous landmarks and sites on our first stay here, the collection below is much more specific to our neighborhood and favorite spots.

Across the Universe
After a great business trip in London, we took the weekend to head to Liverpool and explore the city famous for introducing the world to The Beatles! We spent the whole weekend on a Beatles mission and are pretty happy about everything we discovered.
The title of this post is a reference to an incredible Beatles’ song as well as a great movie we encourage everyone to watch.

Savoir-Vivre!
This summer, we had the amazingly fortunate luck to spend two full months in the beautiful city of Paris! While the photos we’ve assembled here do their best to capture all that is Paris, they hardly do it justice. In addition to the amazing sites, we met some incredible friends and had a visit from the one and only Katie Renne! It was an incredible summer, Paris, je t’aime!
